GOBUY, GOCAB’S SUPER INSTALLMENT PAYMENT APPLICATION, IS OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED.

This Saturday, August 29th, GoCab’s headquarters in Abatta hosted the official launch of GoBuy | Shop Today Pay Later, the group’s great installment payment app, now available on the App Store and Play Store.

The day ended with a symbolic handover of keys to a first group of 30 individuals, now owners of their Bestune T90 vehicle thanks to GoBuy’s Mobility category.

GoBuy is a platform that allows the general public to acquire a wide range of products and services through an installment payment system, without going through traditional banking channels. The catalog already covers more than 55,000 users in just 2 months and eight universes: telephony, mobility, energy, IT, furniture, beauty, household appliances, and gaming.

How does it work, and who can buy on GoBuy?

Each customer request is evaluated by an artificial intelligence, which analyzes alternative data to measure the client’s actual capacity to pay rather than relying solely on conventional guarantees.

On this basis, and after a minimum of administrative documents, the amount of the initial advance for the chosen property is set according to the client’s profile. As soon as this first payment is made, the client leaves with their property and can start using it. 

The balance is then settled in monthly installments, over a period adapted to each product category—all managed and monitored in real time from the application, with payment by bank transfer or Mobile Money, without using cash.

The platform is already deployed in Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal, with ongoing expansion to Ghana and Morocco. New universes are already in the works, starting with Bazaar, GoBuy’s social marketplace, and a dedicated real estate offer.
