GOCAB AND THE CNAM HAND IN HAND FOR THE HEALTH OF THE GARAGE STAFF

At GoCab, the performance of the fleet relies on an often invisible link: the garage’s technical teams. Mechanics, technicians and maintenance workers are the ones behind the scenes who keep our vehicles running smoothly. This week, GoCab wanted to return the favor by taking care of their health.

A recruitment operation at the heart of the garage

In partnership with the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM), GoCab hosted directly at its site in Abidjan the mobile office for enrolling and withdrawing cards from the Universal Health Coverage (CMU). Throughout the day, CNAM teams were based in the same garage to register staff, check files and issue CMU cards on site.

Result: all the garage staff were able to obtain their card and secure, without having to move, their access to health coverage.

The CMU, a national system for access to healthcare

Supported by the CNAM, the Universal Health Coverage aims to guarantee all residents of Côte d'Ivoire equitable access to health care, regardless of their income or status. The system is based on national solidarity: the contributions of workers in the formal sector are shared, while economically vulnerable people benefit from state support. Since its launch, the CMU has enabled the enrollment of several million people across the country.

By facilitating access to this system for its technical staff, GoCab is part of this national dynamic while addressing a very concrete issue: the health and financial security of the teams that run its workshops on a daily basis.

Take care of those who drive GoCab

Beyond the logistics aspect, this operation reflects a simple conviction: the well-being of teams is a condition of service quality. By bringing an administrative system often perceived as remote or complex to its field staff, GoCab wanted to remove the practical obstacles to access to care—travel, availability, paperwork—and make health a concrete reality for everyone.

This HR initiative is in addition to the actions that GoCab carries out for its teams and partners in Côte d'Ivoire, in a logic where social responsibility and operational performance advance together.
