GoCab, Africa's platform for mobility and vehicle financing, has officially launched in Ghana. Through a collaboration with Bolt, a leading global ride-hailing service, GoCab allows Ghanaian drivers to acquire a new vehicle for use on the Bolt platform, with the opportunity to eventually own it.
A Strategic Expansion into the Ghanaian Market
Having firmly established operations across Francophone West Africa and Morocco, GoCab takes a decisive step by setting up in Accra. This launch reflects the Group's ambition to scale its model across the African continent, adapting to the specific dynamics of each local market.
Ghana — with its growing economy, expanding urban middle class, and strong demand for formal mobility services — represents an ideal environment for the GoCab model to thrive.
The GoCab Ghana Model: Drive It, Then Own It
At the heart of the Ghanaian deployment is a clear value proposition for partner drivers: access a brand-new vehicle without significant upfront capital, operate on the Bolt platform, and progressively repay their vehicle until they own it outright.
This driver-to-own model transforms drivers into entrepreneurs, providing them with a durable working asset and a genuine opportunity for wealth creation. GoCab positions itself not merely as a mobility provider, but as a true partner in individual economic advancement.
The Changan Alsvin: Built for This Market
The vehicle selected for the Ghana launch is the Changan Alsvin, a next-generation compact sedan combining reliability, fuel efficiency, and suitability for African urban driving conditions. Featuring a modern digital dashboard, refined interior, and dependable mechanics, the Alsvin gives drivers a professional working tool and passengers a quality ride experience.
This choice reflects GoCab's commitment to offering vehicles that are performance-oriented, accessible, and aligned with real-world field conditions.
A Structural Partnership with Bolt
The Ghana rollout is anchored by a partnership with Bolt, a ride-hailing platform operating across more than 45 countries. By combining Bolt's technological and commercial strength with GoCab's vehicle financing and fleet management capabilities, this partnership creates a complete ecosystem: drivers benefit from immediate access to an active customer base, a structured working framework, and full support throughout their ownership journey.
A Vision: Making Mobility Accessible to Everyone Across the Continent
GoCab Ghana is part of a broader vision: to make mobility a driver of economic inclusion for millions of people across Africa. By combining financing, quality vehicles, and technology partnerships, GoCab aims to build — city by city — a sustainable transport model that generates employment and local prosperity.
Accra is only the first step. GoCab Ghana is designed to expand progressively across the country, empowering a new generation of mobility entrepreneurs.
